Promoting the transformation of physical education evaluation empowered by digital technology is a new trend of education transformation in the digital era,and a new track to realize the modernization of Chinese physical education.Using the methods of literature review,expert interview and logical analysis,this paper analyzes the connotation of the transformation of physical education evaluation empowered by digital technology from the perspective of technology embedding theory,and discusses the motivation,problems and strategies in the transformation.It suggests that the transformation of physical education evaluation empowered by digital technology needs to clarify the transformation coordinate system,so as to realize the functional remodeling through the reconstruction of elements and structure.Its motivations cover the traction of physical education policy,the conduction of education transformation,the support of digital technology,the motivation of standard upgrading and the domestic demands of data correction.At the same time,it still faces the problems such as algorithm bias and ethical challenges at the level of technology embedding,institutional absence and path dependence at the level of evaluation reform,and digital divide and prisoner’s dilemma at the level of promotion and application.The high-quality transformation should be achieved through three targeted strategies,including making up for the technical weakness,optimizing the institutional framework and breaking through the application bottleneck.
